These prisoners were held here because the Nazi party viewed them as insurrectionist to the German race. These prisoners where held captive in concentration, or death camps. They were dictated by an IKL officers who remained over the prisoners from the moment they entered to the moment they were either, killed or hopefully released. These camps were responsible for the cruelty which often lead to the deaths of many prisoners, but were written up only as suicides, assaulting a guard, justified killings, or inciting prisoners to revolt. The victims incarcerated in these camps, often had committed no crimes, but where held there for the suspicion that they had committed a crime, troublesome activity, or where likely to commit a crime. The prisoners of the camps were imprisoned without being charged of a crime, after being acquitted for a crime, or if the authorities had demanded an individual.
